Pedro Rodriguez

Pedro Rodriguez is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California. Pedro is the founding Partner who established his Accounting Firm in 1986 known as Rodriguez & Co. A year later, he recruited his partners Sam Perez and Hugo Delgado in order to expand accounting services to clients throughout the bay area and abroad. At that time, the Sacramento and Oakland offices were established. Pedro’s CPA firm became known as Rodriguez, Perez, Delgado & Co., LLP in 1988. Since the Oakland office is no longer in operation, Pedro and Hugo merged their offices and are currently operating in San Francisco. Pedro’s clients include individuals, international clients, government entities, as well as start-ups, small to medium-size businesses operating as sole-proprietorships, partnerships, LLC’s, LLP’s, and corporations.

Education

Born and raised in San Francisco, Pedro obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University in 1979. After successfully passing all four sections of the Certified Public Accountant Exam, and upon completing all requirements, Pedro obtained his CPA license to operate in the State of California. He continues to take online courses to maintain his license current.

Experience

Pedro has over thirty years of accounting, auditing, consulting, tax preparation and representation experience. He has extensive audit experience with Pete Marwick, Mitchell & Co. now known as KPMG as well as with Coopers & Librand, now known as PwC. He worked in the Internal Audit Department at Genstar Corporation, now Genstar Capital, and he was the Controller for TXL Corporation, a Lease Brokerage Firm. As a Certified Public Accountant, Pedro is authorized to represent clients before the Franchise Tax Board, Internal Revenue Service, the Employment Development Department, the State Board of Equalization and various other taxing authorities.

Associations

Pedro has served on several non-profit organizations such as the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as President; La Raza Centro Legal as Treasurer; and he was a board member of the Leadership Council at United Way. He has served as mentor for La Puente Project and has been a speaker for various organizations. He has also been the president for two home owner associations.

Military Career

Pedro also served in the US Navy Reserve for twenty-three years where he worked aboard various aircraft carriers as a Supply Officer [Logistics], prior to retiring as a Lieutenant Commander LCDR (Ret.) in 2007.

 

 

Hugo Delgado

A CPA and a Partner in the CPA and Consulting firm of Rodriguez, Perez, Delgado & Co., LLP, Mr. Delgado has over 27 years of professional experience. His experience includes being affiliated with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Touche Ross. He has also held various accounting positions in private industry including Assistant Treasurer at American International Underwriters and Controller at Industrial Indemnity Financial Corporation.

Mr. Delgado holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley. He is a candidate for a Master in Tax from Golden Gate University. He is currently pursuing his Series 7 license and has obtained in Insurance license.

His affiliations include the AICPA and CSCPA. He is the co-Founder of the Northern California chapter of the AAHCPAs’ now known as LBP and is a former President. He has sat on various boards of community service organizations and was on the AICPA committee on Minority Initiatives. He is a mentor in the Puente Project and has participated in Junior Achievement and Project Business in underrepresented schools. He has been a speaker on various panels discussing tax, accounting and small business issues. He has presented on Retirement issues to various groups.
